This output bumps up to 270 horsepower with a six-speed manual transmission and 278 horsepower with an eight-speed auto transmission on other trims. A hybrid I-Force Max engine is also available, and it delivers up to 326 horsepower combined. All Tacoma trucks for both model years have a body-on-frame design. They are also available with either a leaf spring suspension or a coil spring suspension.

Appearance

The redesigned 2024 Tacoma has a rigid, modern look with dramatically defined fenders and rigid, deep grooves over the sides. The sculpted hood maintains its height, allowing for a wide grille and a dominating lower fascia. The headlights have a unique look with flares that angle upward and downward. Select trims for 2023 and 2024 are outfitted with exterior gear like a hood scoop, all-terrain tires, a skid plate, a sunroof, heated side mirrors, and others.
