2024 Toyota Tacoma vs 2024 Toyota Tundra

Serving Battle Creek, MI

The midsize Toyota Tacoma pickup truck introduces a fresh look and performance updates for the 2024 model year. The Tundra is a full-size model with a few improvements for you to explore. Our Sunshine Toyota sales reps are eager to assist you with a deep comparison of these top models.

Performance

Three powertrains are offered across the Tacoma's eight trim levels. The base engine is a turbo 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine that is good for 228 horsepower. The mid-level trims have a more powerful version of this engine, which produces 278 horsepower. The top Tacoma trim levels have an iForce hybrid engine that generates 326 horsepower. The 2024 Tundra has a gas engine and a hybrid alternative. The V6 3.5-liter turbo system puts out 389 horsepower. The Hybrid Max engine, optional for the higher Tundra trims, yields 437 horsepower.

Appearance

The 2024 Toyota Tacoma is a smaller truck that makes a big statement on the road with commanding style. Large, flared fenders accompany the tall, flat-roofed cabin. The front end has a stretched grille with tight mesh, a powerful skid plate, and innovative headlights. The 2024 Tundra is a massive truck with flared fenders, lower-body molding, and well-defined fenders. The grille spans most of the front end and is accented with metal trim. A pronged LED light element supports the unique headlights.

Features

Both of these well-equipped trucks have exciting features across their trim levels. They are both available with a 360-degree camera, wireless smartphone app connectivity, wireless phone charging, a JBL audio system, parking sensors, heated front seats, a two-zone climate control system, a leather-wrapped and heated steering wheel, household power outlets, a backup camera, a wireless trailer camera, keyless entry, a blind-spot warning, lane centering and more. The Tundra has several additional features, such as a multi-terrain monitor, noise-reducing glass, wood trim, premium leather seats, a head-up display, and more.

1. Never tow beyond a vehicle's published towing capacities. Before towing, confirm your vehicle and trailer are compatible, hooked up and loaded properly and that you have any necessary additional equipment. The maximum you can tow depends on base curb weight plus the total weight of any cargo, occupants, and added vehicle equipment. Follow all instructions in your Owner's Manual.
2. Payload Capacity is the calculation of GVWR minus curb weight and should be used for comparison purposes only. The maximum amount of passenger and cargo weight your vehicle can carry is the Load Carrying Capacity indicated on the label(s) on the driver's doorjamb.
