The RAV4 has long been recognized for its extensive performance capabilities and excellent design and features. The RAV4 Hybrid is also available, delivering the same impressive driving experience with a hybrid powertrain. However, the RAV4 and RAV4 Hybrid differ in other areas as well. You can rely on our knowledgeable sales associates at Sunshine Toyota to help you decide which model best matches your needs and preferences.
Performance
The 2023 Toyota RAV4 has four trim levels, generating 203 horsepower from a four-cylinder gas engine. This system includes an eight-speed auto transmission. While front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive are offered for the RAV4ās lower trim levels, all-wheel drive is included for the Adventure and TRD Off-Road trims. The 2023 RAV4 Hybrid, on the other hand, connects a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter to two electric motors. This dual-motor system supports the RAV4 Hybridās all-wheel drive system, generating 219 combined horsepower. A continuously variable auto transmission is standard on the RAV4 Hybrid.
Appearance
There are subtle exterior differences between the 2023 RAV4 and the RAV4 Hybrid. The RAV4ās style includes a long, tapered nose with a raked rear. The side contouring is crisply defined, and molded squared-off wheel wheels accompany it. The grille angles outward and has horizontal accents. The slanted headlights trend into sharp points at both ends and the small foglights sit in rectangular ports. The 2023 RAV4 Hybrid has thicker side molding with defined haunches and angled, crisp contouring over the doors. The grille is smaller, while the bumper is taller. The headlights have an innovative LED design and sit above deep, triangular air intakes.

1. Before towing, confirm your vehicle and trailer are compatible, hooked up and loaded properly and that you have any necessary additional equipment. Do not exceed any Weight Ratings and follow all instructions in your Ownerās Manual. The maximum you can tow depends on base curb weight plus the total weight of any cargo, occupants, and added vehicle equipment. āAdded vehicle equipmentā includes additional standard/optional equipment and accessories added by the manufacturer, dealers, and/or vehicle owners. The only way to be certain of your vehicleās exact curb weight is to weigh your vehicle without passengers or cargo. [Calculated with the new SAE J2807 method.] Installation of a tow hitch receiver or other accessories located near the rear bumper may require disabling or removing the kick sensor, and the sensor operation setting in your vehicle should be turned off. See Ownerās Manual for limitations.
