The popular Toyota Corolla sedan has impressed drivers since 1966 thanks to progressive updates over the decades. In 2022, Toyota launched a crossover SUV version of the Corolla, dubbed the Corolla Cross. The subcompact Corolla Cross offers seating for five and exceptional value. In 2025, the Toyota Corolla Cross is a mid-generation model with only one update.
The exclusive update to the 2025 Corolla Cross is the introduction of a new paint color. This is Polymetal Gray. Otherwise, the Corolla Cross’s style is unchanged. With its effortless, sleek design, the Corolla Cross is easy on the eyes from front to rear. It boasts a tall cabin and a raked rear to optimize passenger and cargo space. While the sides are smooth, the haunches are subtly molded. The wheel wells are lined with thick, dark molding. At the front, the angled LED headlights funnel inward to connect to the grille. The chrome-outlined grille has a flat bottom and a staggered, linear mesh pattern. Some or all trim levels feature auto-leveling adaptive headlights, 18-inch wheels, roof rails and tinted privacy glass.
There are three trim levels available for the 2025 Toyota Corolla Cross, and these are the L, LE, and XLE. The trim levels each come with a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine. This system delivers 169 horsepower with 151 pound-feet of torque. Every trim has standard front-wheel drive and a continuously variable automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is an option.
The entry-level Corolla Cross L is well-appointed with lane keeping, lane departure mitigation, a forward collision warning, auto braking, wireless connections for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a split-folding rear seat, an 8-inch touch display screen, a six-speaker audio system, adaptive cruise control, intersection collision mitigation and lane departure mitigation. The mid-level LE adds a blind-spot warning, USB-C ports, a wireless charging pad, auto climate control, remote keyless entry, a push-button starter, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The top XLE builds on these features with rear parking sensors, ambient cabin lights, rear auto braking, a 7-inch digital instrument panel, a dual-zone auto climate control system, and heated front seats.
