The Toyota Prius has long been a pace-setting hybrid car, and it continues to maintain an edge over other hybrid vehicles with its modern style and excellent fuel economy. The Prius debuted its fifth generation in 2023 with front-to-rear improvements. With impressive updates made only a year ago, the Prius has no additional improvements for the 2024 model year.
The Prius's fresh look from last year's next-generation update is sleek and aerodynamic, with a strongly raked front end and a swooping roofline. The sides are equally smooth with minimalist-style definition over the rear haunches. The redesigned headlights are captivating, with a three-sided LED bar wrapped around a body-colored element. These lights are connected by a thin, black accent bar. The short grille sits low to the ground for a sporty touch. Some of the 2024 Prius's exterior features are a power liftgate, a panoramic glass roof, a smartphone access key, rain-sensing wipers, auto high beams, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
All three trim levels have the same four-cylinder, 2.0-liter gas engine featuring hybrid components. With one electric motor that is good for 194 horsepower, the Prius has front-wheel drive. If you upgrade to two electric motors for 196 horsepower, you can take advantage of all-wheel drive.
The entry-level Prius LE is thoughtfully appointed with features like a forward collision warning with auto braking, wireless smartphone app connections, an 8-inch touch display screen, six USB-C ports, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, rear auto braking, and a blind-spot warning. Stepping up to a higher trim level, the Prius may also have synthetic leather upholstery, front and rear parking sensors, a wireless device charging station, heated front seats, a keyless ignition, a 12.3-inch central display screen, a JBL sound system, driver's memory settings, a digital rearview camera, a surround-view camera, and a few others.
