What's New for the 2023 Toyota Prius?
The Toyota Prius is a hybrid car that has proven it's staying powerful over the years, and it is now better than ever with stunning improvements to the 2023 model year. In fact, both the Prius's performance and styling have been updated. The Prius has been completely restyled on the exterior with a sweeping, athletic profile. Its profile is fluidly curved from the rounded front end to the hatchback-style liftgate. The smooth surfaces give the Prius a modern quality and display barely-there accents. The front of the Prius also has a new look with beautiful, curved LED ribbons rather than large headlights. These ribbons trend directly into a connecting, black element. The grille sits low to the ground and has a pair of slender projections on the sides.
The three Prius trim levels have the same mechanics under the hood. They receive 194 combined horsepower from a 2.0-liter hybrid engine. Front-wheel drive is included. Upgrading to all-wheel drive, your Prius will use 196 combined horsepower.
The 2023 Prius's many cabin features are unchanged. At the base LE trim, you can use split-folding rear seats, wireless Apple CarPlay with Android Auto, a six-speaker audio system, connected services, an 8-inch central display screen, and six USB-C ports. At higher trims, the Prius adds a 12.3-inch touch display screen, essential smartphone compatibility, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless charging pad, heated front seats, and synthetic leather material.
All 2023 Prius trim levels are outfitted with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 system. These aids include auto high beams, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot alert, adaptive cruise control, forward collision sensing with auto braking, a rear cross-traffic warning, and lane-keeping. The two higher trim levels also have low-speed auto braking with rear and front parking sensors.
