Ā What's New for the 2023 Toyota Crown?

The 2023 Toyota Crown is an all-new sedan for Battle Creek-area drivers to consider. This midsize sedan replaces the Avalon, which was discontinued in 2022. The Crown is slightly larger across most dimensions than other midsize sedans. It also shows off brilliant, sporty, and sophisticated styling as a new model. Its look is defined by a powerful front end with muscular accentuation on the descending hood and a vast, black grille that covers most of the nose. The Crown's sides are equally bold, with a dark accent bar and contouring that rises over the rear fender. The exterior is styled with up to 21-inch wheels. The top trim is also available with two-tone exterior paint.

The interior of the 2023 Toyota Crown is upscale and modern. The front of the cabin is styled with an expansive display that combines the driver's digital instruments and the vast central display screen. Below this unit, a chrome accent line runs from end to end and rolls into the inspirationally designed air vents. The center console is driver-centric, with a thick accent on the passenger's side. All Crown trims are smartly outfitted with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charging pad, a two-zone auto climate control system, forward collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control, safe exit assist, and others. Higher Crown trims add a panoramic glass roof, heated seats, leather upholstery, an 11-speaker JBL audio system, automated braking with front and rear sensors, a keyless starter, automated parking, and a surround-view camera.

There are three trim levels. The first two trims use a hybrid powertrain that produces 236 horsepower and pairs with a continuously variable transmission. The top trim's hybrid engine delivers 340 horsepower and is linked with a six-speed auto transmission. This trim also has an adaptive suspension system and paddle shifters. All-wheel drive is standard for all 2023 Crown trims.
